Halloween 2009
Rylan loved his monkey costume (thanks to his aunt Mimi). We took him to boo at the zoo and he was a crazy kid. Running every direction he could think of and he wanted to eat every piece of candy that people were giving him. He had a great day and was passed out in the car before we left the driveway at grandmas house....

Rylan loves the phone
I thought these pictures were adorable. He loves to talk on the phone. I love how relaxed he is in this picture. I swear, his personality gets cuter EVERY day!!!
Rylan's Tee Time in the Backyard
Spencer decided that it's never too early to groom Rylan to join the PGA tour. He got his first official set of golf clubs awhile back (and yes, they are real clubs with a real bag and real golf balls). Rylan is only allowed to play with them outside (for ovbious reasons) and when we bring them back in the house, he wanders endlessly looking for them. He absolutely loves playing with them, and he is slowing catching the drift to swing them toward the ground, rather than above his head. I am so excited to think that golfing will be something special that Rylan and Spencer can share as he gets older.

I think this is probably one of the best pictures that Spencer has taken of Rylan. We had a family reunion two weeks ago, and Rylan was everywhere. There was so much for him to look at and play with. In this picture my mom and I are swinging him back and forth, he was having a blast. On another note: I think I finally fixed my blog so you all can leave comments if you wish.

4th of July
We went to my mom's house for a barbeque on the 4th of July. They had set up a little swimming pool for the kids to play in. My niece and nephew loved it, but Rylan was not so sure. He was fine playing in it as long as Makayla didn't splash him and as long as she stayed right beside him. He played in the pool for about 5 minutes total, and then he was over it. He had more fun riding the 4 wheeler than anything else.
Rylan has now become to much of a big boy to ride the little giraffe bike. He now has to ride a big wheel.............
Visit from Grandma and Grandpa Monk
Rylan with Dad and Grandpa Monk
Rylan's Grandma and Grandpa Monk (or Mamaw and Poppie as he calls them) came up for a visit. Rylan was especially excited for their visit because he got to tell them the big announcement that he is going to be a big brother!!!

Rylan got to spend a lot of time with both of them, and he was so excited the entire time they were here. He really loved being spoiled and getting ALL of the attention from them. It's funny because now when I point to a picture of them, and ask him who they are he yells "Mamaw, or Poppie" and then runs around the house all sorts of excited. We all really enjoyed getting to see and spend the 4th of July with them.

Good Little Helper around the house!!
I am not sure if you can see the bruise on the top of Rylan's head. This is his first major knowledge bump. Apprently, at day care on Monday, Rylan's two cousins (who shall remain nameless) were playing ever so kindly together with the same toy. Rylan decided he wanted to have the toy too and he stepped right in the middle of what I am sure was an extremely friendly altercation between Gaige and Makayla. Needless to say, Rylan ended up with a big bruise and knowledge bump on his head.... I would like to know who ended up with the toy after all was said and done! :)
I was changing a quick load of laundry from the washer to the dryer, and I can hear Rylan just jabbering to himself in the living room. It all of the sudden becomes very quiet and I start to hear strange noises coming from the kitchen. When I walked around the table, I see my wonderful son, helping his mommy by unloading the dishwasher all by himself. I am surprised the door was able to hold all of his weight. Some days, I seriously do contemplate changing his name to Dennis. ;)

He was so proud of himself!!! I am still not sure how he managed to get the door open in the first place. Nothing is safe in this house!!!!!
